Sophie and Ed

Ed and Sophie got married on a sunny day in May, at a stunning outdoor venue near to where Sophie grew up in Cambridgeshire.
One of her passions since she was small has been gardening and flowers, and so she was looking for a very dainty, natural, wild-meadow style for her wedding florals to mirror the wild hedgerows of her countryside upbringing.
In the church for the ceremony, we brought the outside in, creating wild floral aisle meadows to frame the couple, using plenty of cow parsley foraged locally from the church grounds (with permission, of course!)
She chose a colour palette of solft neutrals, with some darker burgundy accents to put a modern twist on a classic colour scheme. Her bridal bouquet was filled with seasaonal blooms, including astrantia, achillea, spray rose, hesperis, ranunculus, sweetpea and aquilegia, to create a wild, bouncy style bouquet. We finished the bouquet with a loosely tied blush chiffon ribbon.

For the ceremony, to decorate the relatively blank canvas of their sailcloth marquee, the pair opted for striking, elevated table designs in a wild, rustic style, with the foliage being predominantly foraged from the hawthorn bushes and eucalyptus trees on the venue's estate, having kindly been given permission in advance. The hawthorn blossom was in full bloom at the time of the wedding, making a stunning, delicate addition to the arrangements, with snowy white blossom sprinkled throughout the designs. We then hung tea-light filled glass bauble to create soft, ambient lighting for the reception.

The bridesmaids wore stunning dresses in an oyster/blush shade, which complemented the sunny May day perfectly, with hte ushers in navy suits, with wild hedgerow style buttonholes to match the florals.
